    What Does Being SAFE Certified Mean?

    When you become SAFE Certified, you will receive a SAFE Certification that you can proudly display at your business. This will show your customers that you are following all the guidelines necessary to be open but that you are taking every possible precaution to be open safely. We provide you all the necessary information and even walk you through the process of becoming certified. Once you feel ready, you can schedule your final audit where you can set yourself apart from your competition by becoming officially SAFE Certified.

    This certification is earned by demonstrating the ability and willingness to follow best practices and a commitment to continue to do so.  This is how you do that:

    Large Businesses with Multiple Locations

It is incumbent upon you to maintain the safest place you can to be sure your employees, customers and visitors feel confident upon entry. We will help by allowing you to designate an Accountability Representative and give that person the tools to train, inspect and protect each person within your facility.     Small Businesses

    If you are a small business, maintaining your reputation and customer base is top of mind. Welcoming them back to a SAFE environment let’s them know how important they are to you. SAFE is prepared to help you understand the regulations impacting your business and provides you the tools to meet those requirements. When you are able to prove you are willing and able to do that, and a bit more, you can become SAFE Certified. The best part is we will help you get the word out by using our Ad Center.

    Knowledge Center

    This is where you will go to review Federal, Local and other regulations, rules and guidelines. You can also use the training material and other collateral to be sure your team is up to speed on the latest information. This section also has links to important websites such as the CDC. Empower your team with the best tools available.

    Inspections

    Inspections are key to being sure you are maintaining the safest environment possible.  Here you will be able to view and select the appropriate inspection types for your business.  You will also be able to view the history to assure they were completed and any deficiency has been remediated.  Regular inspections will keep you on the right track.

    Ad Center

    You’re a SAFE Business, let’s tell people about it.  The Ad Center will help you.  This is where you will be able to download banner ads for digital marketing, flyers to hand out and certification badges to add to your existing or new marketing material.  When you get the word out on social media, your customers will share that.  Be ready to get back to normal, they will return when they know it’s SAFE.

    Training

    Training your employees on the proper use of PPE and how to handle customers or visitors who do not want to use PPE are just the beginning.  You need to know how to screen employees returning to work and determine if your facility needs to check temperature upon entry.  Every business is different but employees need to be trained on the basics as well as the unique risks of your facility.

    Upon signup, you will gain access to the portal, which includes the certification, ability to print the certification and post that.  You will also have the ability to upload records, checklists, pictures, etc.  Importantly, you will also have access to the vast knowledge base so you can stay up to speed on best practices.

    Get the word out!

    Because you have a business that wants your customers to know that you care about each of them, you will be provided with the ability to get the word out and advertise that your business is the one they should choose.  This is the use of the SAFE Certificate in a public area or on your front door.  You will also have access to online ads you can use on social media and other digital marketing platforms.

    Maintaining the Certification is equally important.  Our team will periodically inspect the location(s) for compliance.  If something is found to be out of compliance or training may be needed, we will work with the business to regain the required standards.  If non-compliance continues, the certification may be pulled or downgraded.
