Frequently Asked Questions
A SAFE Certification is given to a company, establishment or entity that is able to demonstrate its ability and willingness to meet or exceed government requirements for sanitation and cleanliness in order to reduce the spread of COVID 19.
The process of becoming certified is simple but thorough. The company will signup online and schedule an appointment for an inspection. Most inspections are done virtually through videoconferencing. Some of the things that are inspected are the company’s ability to identify and meet changing regulations, PPE provided to building entrants, Hand Sanitation at each public touchpoint such as door handles and knobs, among other things. Upon certification, the company will have to continue to meet the requirements and is subject to random inspections.
If the company is found to be deficient in the ability to meet the requirements, it may lose its certification. It will, however, have a chance to remedy the situation before the certification is lost.
At signup and randomly going forward.
